"Mommy, why did they take away all the trees? I like nature and nature isn't good without trees. And, they weren't even theirs."
Mark, grade 2

Our children have already lost much of their green space. The schoolyard is dominated by dust and concrete.

Now our Kindergarten students are about to lose their play structure, which is nearing the end of its 25-year life span. The School Board does not replace play structures so, unless we do something, it will simply be removed.

Please help us save our children’s schoolyard.

WHERE YOUR DONATION WILL GO
A new kindergarten play structure and surfacing for accessibility COMPLETED
An outdoor learning classroom
Sports and activity areas
Tree planting
Naturalized play areas
Interactive games and activities

All donations of $25 or more will receive a tax receipt.

WE NEED YOUR HELP

We, the parents, teachers and staff at Connaught Public School, are reaching out to the community to help us achieve our two-phase fundraising goal:

$100,000 by summer 2017 — RAISED!!
$80,000 more by summer 2018.

With these funds, we can make the schoolyard a place that will support our children’s outdoor recreation and learning opportunities. We have raised $25,000 toward our goal. But that is only a start. We need your help.
